Most plans do not cover functional medicine, however, do check with your insurance provider as some lab tests may be reimbursable.

No, we do not recommend you stop seeing your current provider(s) for your condition. Functional Medicine is intended to be complementary to your current providers to improve your overall health outcomes.

The aim is to optimize overall health through diet and lifestyle and some supplements may be necessary. Supplements are meant to offer temporary support as your body heals from the inside out. There may be some cases where supplements are beneficial for long term support.

Chiropractic care is recommended although it is not provided as part of the treatment in a Functional Medicine appointment. Chiropractic appointments would need to be scheduled separately.

Office Visit Information and Pricing
Exam* (60 minutes) $150
Includes a review and assessment of your questionnaire, physical examination, dietary & lifestyle modifications, and ordering of laboratory test(s).
*You must complete and submit your new patient functional medicine questionnaire 4 weeks prior to scheduling your initial appointment.
Lab Interpretation (60 minutes) $180
Subsequent Visit (30 minutes) $75
Approximately 1 month after your initial appointment, when your provider has received and assessed your laboratory results you will be notified to schedule your follow up appointment. This appointment will include a review of the laboratory results, assessment of dietary and lifestyle modifications and supplement recommendations if necessary.
Laboratory Testing - price sheet below
Laboratory testing is performed at a facility outside of IOC clinic. Laboratories are located throughout the twin cities and your functional medicine provider will help coordinate your tests with the lab. Processing time for lab testing is approximately 2-4 weeks.
